HOA Presidents report
As we start the third Quarter of 2010, we’d like to thank the over one hundred residents who have paid their dues so far this year. Remember that while they are payable in January, you can still pay all year long. Your continued support allows us to continue providing the services that make Country Villas a desirable place to live.
The benefits of membership include the right to have the Board address your issues within the community. As a paid member, your opinions and concerns become the driving force behind the activities undertaken by the Board. Another important benefit that is limited to paid members is the Sales and Services page on the website. There we post information about your business, for free, to let your neighbors know about your services. In addition, members can post an online classified ad for items for sale, lost and found and like items.
As most of you know our website has been changed and reconfigured to provide updated information and severe weather preparation. The website has a user-friendly weather-bug and a Google search engine which has the ability to search for common websites. All events which are posted to the site are added to the calendar on the right side of the site. All news, articles, and neighborhood events will be posted to our new Facebook page. Find us on Facebook by clicking the icon to the right and become a member.
The Board is in the middle of planning the summer and fall season activities to include an upcoming BBQ on Sunday September 12th. If you have any ideas you’d like to see happen in our community, please let us know. We want to increase the chances for interaction of residents in Country Villas with Block parties, contests and even Pizza party was a huge success. Become involved in what activities are sponsored by the Board and have fun doing it.
As you can see, the Board has been very busy and wants our neighborhood to be more than the place where you can complain about deed restriction issues. At the same time, we remind all property owners that restrictions were part of your contract to become an owner. The more value each owner places on keeping our community neat and clean, the better all of our quality of life becomes. We work with the City of Safety Harbor on the most obvious violations, but self-policing is still the easiest.
As summer winds down, it will be nice to see everyone getting together at one of our upcoming neighborhood gatherings.
Happy summer to all!
Ron Walker, President
